Severe tooth pain and injuries to the teeth can be debilitating and even affect your normal daily activities. Our dental team is highly skilled in emergency dentistry — we're ready to perform the necessary procedures to return you back to comfort! If you're experiencing a dental emergency, call us now to be seen quickly.

We offer emergency care to treat the following urgent dental conditions:

Tooth Injuries

man holding his mouth in need of an emergency dentistChipped or cracked teeth are more than just cosmetic issues. They can affect your dental health and total body health! In the case of a tooth injury, call Dental Care of Spokane immediately.

In most cases, rinsing the mouth with a saltwater solution and applying gauze to any areas of bleeding will be effective until you reach our office. Do not apply a topical pain reliever as it can cause burning, and if possible, save any of the broken pieces of tooth. Should the pain, swelling, or bleeding persist before an appointment can be made, consider a visit to the emergency room!

If one of your teeth is completely dislodged, there are measures you can take to preserve the tooth or ensure an optimal outcome. After gently rinsing the tooth, carefully try to fit it back into the socket. If this isn’t possible, place the tooth in a glass of milk or some lightly salted water, and call Dental Care of Spokane immediately!

If you experience a tooth injury during regular business hours, don't hesitate — come right to our office. There is only a small window of time that any attempt to replant a dislodged tooth can be made!

Severe Tooth Pain

Are you experiencing severe, long-lasting tooth pain? If so, it could be an indication of a more serious dental condition. Our signature emergency examinations include a thorough consultation and a set of high-tech digital x-rays!

For temporary relief from the severe tooth pain, rinse with salt water, use a topical pain reliever, and apply a cold compress to the outer cheek. Most likely, one of your teeth is experiencing deep decay that has reached the nerve center.

Dental Abscesses

In the case of deep decay or untreated infections below the gum line, an abscess forms near a tooth root. Abscesses are serious and need to be treated right away! Rinse with a saltwater solution, and call our office immediately.

During your emergency dentist appointment, our team will assess the abscess and may recommend an emergency tooth extraction or an emergency root canal, if needed.

Broken Crowns, Dentures, or Bridges

Even the highest quality crowns and bridges can sometimes become broken or dislodged. If you're experiencing broken dental restorations, there's no need to panic — but it is important to make a prompt appointment! Delaying the replacement or repair of any restoration may require us to take a new impression of your teeth and gums.

If you lose your dentures, the team at Dental Care of Spokane will work hard to make sure you're not without teeth for long. We'll have you fitted for temporary dentures and expedite your replacement! We can even upgrade your appliance with permanent dental implants, so you'll never have to worry about losing your dentures again.
